Surgery Or Non-Surgical Facelift – Which Is Best For You?
Non surgical facelifts are ideal if you’re looking for a way to revitalise, refresh and enhance. Looking at your facial aesthetics desires you may have thought about having a facelift. With so many cosmetic treatments available, such as facelifts and facial remodeling, we look at what option would be best for you.
Surgical facelifts
A surgical facelift is designed to give you a more youthful appearance by reducing sagging skin. Carried out under general anaesthetic, the surgeon will make incisions into the skin, pull it upwards and then stitch it into its new position. It usually takes around two to three hours to perform, and most patients will stay overnight. It can take up to nine months to recover and you may need to take some time off work. As with any type of surgery, there are possible risks. If you take blood-thinning medications or have a condition which prevents blood clotting, you would not be able to have a surgical facelift. It is also not recommended for smokers as you may have reduced wound healing capabilities.
Non-surgical facelifts
A non-surgical facelift in our Harley Street Clinic or A non-surgical facelift in our Bournemouth & Poole Clinic. Allows you to alter the look of specific areas of your face using dermal fillers. Eliminating the need to go under the knife, this quick procedure provides instant results and can have a recovery time of as little as just 24 hours.
There is minimal risk compared to surgery, as there is no need for anaesthetic. It is a much more cost-effective way of achieving that smooth and even complexion. As results last between six and eighteen months there is no long-term commitment.
Facial fillers also help to reverse the signs of ageing by increasing the volume and ‘plumpness’ of the skin’s texture. The added volume gives your complexion a youthful softness. In contrast, surgery will simply stretch the skin out, which can leave you with a hollow and sunken appearance.
Non-surgical nose job
A non-surgical nose job works in the same way as a non-surgical facelift. If you are looking to straighten your nose, fillers can be inserted to even out any bumps. If you want a thinner nose, dermal filler can be applied to the tip to create that illusion.
