How often should I have my lips filled?
Lip fillers should be carried out when you and your practitioner are in agreement that they would benefit from treatment. However, lips fillers done with a reputable filler should be lasting you anything up to 18 months. You certainly shouldn’t need them doing every few months. If you are finding this is the case you need to find a new and reputable practitioner as genuine lip filler lasts longer than 1 or 2 months
Does filler move?
No, once your lip filler or any other facial filler is administered it will remain there. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are not rubbing the area for at least 24 hours as this is the only way that filler may migrate from the original site of injection

Yes absolutely. If you pay the cheapest price your filler will not be the best quality or may not last. Can I have my lips dissolved if I don’t like them?
Yes and no. Having your lips dissolved is the last resort. It is not an option to simply try to see if you like having your lips filled. The hyaluronidase has a risk of allergic reaction. It is a painful procedure, that also causes swelling. We would always advise waiting for your body to naturally break down the filler. However, if you really can’t wait or the filler is causing other complications then it can be dissolved. It’s always worth asking your practitioner if they can carry out this procedure before having any filler treatment with them. Surprisingly, few practitioners are capable of doing so. This then raises the question – should they be injecting filler in the first place?
Are lip injections dangerous?
No – the only danger is the injector. If the injector doesn’t know what they are doing it can be very dangerous. Do your research thoroughly before going ahead with any treatment

Are lip fillers safe?
Yes, providing your injector is appropriately medically qualified and experienced. This means a thorough consultation process including medical history and reasons for seeking treatment. A dedicated sterile clinic where treatment takes place. And proper aftercare and post-procedure check-up
Is it normal to have lumps after lip filler?
Sometimes there can be lumps. However, leave them alone and allow for any swelling to subside. This normally is when the lumps will disappear on their own. If you have any persistent lumps, then return to the clinic where they can be dealt with. Do not attempt to massage or do anything to them yourself. As you may inadvertently move the filler out of its correct position. But generally, no lumps occur. Lumps are more likely to happen when the injector has a bad technique or is using cheap dermal filler.
Do filler lumps go away?

No – it is always best to return to the clinic where you had treatment to have any lumps sorted. Ensure any swelling has gone first
How long does it take for swelling to go down after lip fillers?
Everyone is very different, so this is an incredibly difficult question to answer generally. Some people don’t swell at all, some swell for a couple of days and some longer. It is dependent on the individual. The same is true of bruising

Can I wear lipstick after lip filler?
We suggest leaving your lips alone immediately after treatment. Then use a hydrating lip balm. Lipstick will not cause any issues but we always recommend a period of not touching your lips after treatment to avoid any risk of infection

Do you do Russian lip filler technique & lip flip or lip tenting?
The Russian lip filler technique is a treatment by injecting filler to pull the lip upwards. Russian lip filler technique is mainly to create height so the results are not necessarily plump, and can look quite flat from the side profile. Treatment also requires many more injections which some are wary of as it can cause unnecessary trauma and risk of infection. You should also expect longer-lasting swelling and an increased chance of more prominent bruising.
A lip flip will not add volume, just give the impression of creating volume by using Botox not dermal fillers to “flip” your lip upwards.
Lip tenting is another technique again – using almost vertical injections.
One final note to consider. What happens if I no longer want fillers?
The filler will simply naturally break down over a gradual period by your body. If you no longer wish to continue with fillers (lips or facial) then your body will eventually dissolve them naturally. The area will return to its original state. It will not leave saggy skin where the filler has “stretched” your skin out.
